Are you looking for an Older Dog?
Are you up for a challenge?
Sometimes but not often we have older dogs looking for their forever home. This could be for a few reasons, run on but not suitable for showing, shown but doesn't like showing, has finished its show career at a very young age. There is nothing physically wrong with these dogs and although we keep most of our dogs till the end of their days, we feel that in certain cases it would be much nicer for the animal to have a loving family to spoil it as the only dog. You would still have to pass all our checks and vetting, so it is not an easy way to gain a shiba and although it is true that being a little older than a puppy it can come with its own habits, but we have found that within a short while in a new home environment they become loving pets.
Below are a few pictures of the dogs we have passed on with their new families, to prove it can be done.
